After 16 years of experience in the travel industry and our own experience of travelling with friends with families, we know how challenging it can be to find a holiday destination in an interesting location that also offers good accommodation, a variety of organised activities for children and an opportunity for the parents to have some time of their own. With this in mind we created our own unique semi-independent yet organised family trips.
Based out of our cottages at Chateau Canet, our family trips offer you time to spend with your family, give your kids the opportunity to play, learn and explore in the company of other children and give you the chance to relax and enjoy being on holiday.
How do our family trips work?

Fancy a treasure hunt through the winding streets of a medieval village followed by a private recital in a Cistercian Abbey? Or does the idea of a picnic on a private barge on the Canal de Midi and a bike ride up to the great walled city of Carcassonne sound more appealing?
During the week we organise a number of optional outings appealing to curious young minds and adults alike. You can be sure that we will take you off the beaten track so that you can experience the highlights of the region in fun and original ways.
Hey kids, how about a fencing lesson or a medieval costume workshop?
Every afternoon, we organise creative activities designed exclusively for your children. Your kids will have a blast and will appreciate the opportunity to spend time with their peers. And parents, you’ll appreciate the luxury of some uninterrupted time to yourselves.
Fresh croissants delivered to your cottage daily…..
You choose your own cottage (see cottage rentals) and manage your own daily schedule. We’ll deliver fresh croissants for your breakfast “en famille”. After that, you can opt to join in the planned outings or simply enjoy life on the “domaine”: wander off into the vineyards, take a leisurely bike ride, plan a tennis tournament or just relax by the pool. It’s your holiday, you decide, we’ll look after the rest.
What are we doing this evening?
On a few evenings we invite you to a dinner on the “domaine” to share traditional cuisine, learn about regional wines in a convivial setting. Otherwise the choice is yours to either cook “at home” and try out the fresh produce from the local market, or venture out to one of the nearby restaurants.
