When we started looking for a wine estate in the South of France, we had a dream, we were looking for more than just a place that we could call home… we were looking for a home that we could share with our family, friends and guests. 

And so “Chez Canet” came to be! A cluster of independent cottages located on the site of our picturesque wine and olive oil estate Chateau Canet; the perfect setting for your holiday and for experiencing the many pleasures of French country life.  

You may decide to join us for a fully organised, experience packed, customized family holiday or for a weekend getaway, planned exclusively for you and your friends.  Or if you prefer, you can simply rent one of our cottages for a relaxing holiday at your own pace. Whatever you choose, you can be sure of one thing… the warm welcome that awaits you here at Chateau Canet!

And while on holiday, “Chez Canet” you can explore our vineyards, hike through miles of private countryside following herb scented trails to find the perfect picnic spot, or use one of our bikes and venture further a-field, along the peaceful country roads surrounding the estate.  We can also arrange a round of golf at the “Golf de Carcassonne” or if you prefer explore this enchanting region on horse back.

You may choose to take the opportunity to learn as much as you want about wine making right at the source.  If you wish, you can visit the cellar and watch Lionel, our winemaker, at work but watch out: you might be called into action for a barrel tasting!

You will certainly not want to miss is a visit to the Saturday morning market in Carcassonne, depending on the time of year you might smell the black truffles and cèpes from the ‘Montagne Noir’ or  walk in between piles of artichokes and asparagus and delight in learning about the different cheeses from the Pyrenees: Bethmale, Buton d’Oc, Monsegur, Itxassou……..

Or you may choose to contemplate all the activity from the comfort of your own private terrace or simply lounge beside our pool, and why not, after all you’re on holiday!
